Hooray!

I am looking forward to this movie a great deal. I have always loved the Superman movies and I am anxious to see how this one is done. I have never heard of the lead, Brandon Routh. However, there are a few big names in it, too: Frank Langela, Parker Posey, and Kevin Spacey. Not bad.

I got the kids some St. Patrick's Day t-shirts from Old Navy while I was on my break. Tyson mentioned it several times that Friday is the 'day we wear green'...and hats. Apparently it's hat day at the day care. Thank goodness theme week is almost over. Monday was pajama day. Tuesday was Hawaiian day. Wednesday was Farm day(?). Today is shorts and sandals day...they did not participate cuz it's too damn cold.

It is so quiet in the office today. Both of my bosses are gone. My immediate supervisor's mother-in-law passed away on Monday and her funeral is today. The VP of the department is on vacation. He and his wife are golfing for the rest of the week in a resort in Tennesee somewhere. So, peace and quiet. Lovely. :)

I have a new obsession. TCBY Treats. It tastes like ice cream. Looks like ice cream. Has significantly less fat than ice cream. And, they have a topping bar! Strawberries and bananas for me. Yummy, yum, yum!!

Last year we had a problem with a young girl in the daycare that my children attend saying hateful things about black people. It was a sticky situation. The little girl was 5, maybe 6 and her father is a bigot. He has told his daughter openly that he doesn't like black people and that most of them are bad people. How do I know this you ask? So, the whole point of this post - believe it or not there is one - is to say this: Hate and prejudice is learned. Your children will follow your example, be it good or bad, in this world. Be cautious of what you say and be prepared to talk to them about your stupidity when it comes back to bite you on the ass in the form of a big, angry black woman. :p

In other news, it is cold as a witch's tit in a brass bra out there! I am ready for spring and winter hasn't even started yet.
