Last night the kids had the Christmas program at school/daycare/church. It was SO awesome!!! I don't think that I've ever been more proud of my children and happy with the place that has become their home away from home. Ty was GREAT! He sang his little heart out and he did it all on pitch and without screaming. He was clearly the loudest (and tallest) kid in the little choir. Baby Girl did a great job of ringing her little 'jingle bell', too. She looked a little scared at first and tried to come into the audience and sit with us, but in the end she stayed and participated and was just adorable!!! I love my Kids!

One thing that sort of irritated me was the lack of uniformity in what the kids wore. I asked the assistant director yesterday morning what the kids should wear. She said whatever they're comfortable in. I put nice (new) jeans and cute holiday sweaters on both of my kids. They were very well dressed and super cute, but there were other kids there who had on velveteen dresses and patent leather shoes (specifically, the director's kids and a few 'choice' others). It would have been nice if all the kids were either dressed up or down in the same manner. I guess it's nothing, but it irritated me.

Kudos to the Ford Motor Company for not letting the American Family Association push them around. I don't see how you can call yourself "pro" anything when you are obviously a front for a bunch of bigots and take part in spreading hate. Ford isn't stupid. I'm sure they did the math and figured out how much they had to loose by excluding the GLBT community. It makes me smile. I may even buy a Ford someday. Maybe.
