Well, the pancakes (or pan-a-cakes as Number 1 son calls them) were a success. I think the kids ate more than I did. After breakfast, Tyson (that's Number 1 son) got out his Hokey Pokey Elmo and he and MyKayla did the Hokey Pokey in the living room. MyKayla was so excited that she picked Elmo up by his buggy eyeballs and gave him a good shaking. After she was done with him, Elmo had a definite stutter.
Watching a 1 year-old do the Hokey Pokey is extremely amusing, not really sure why. Every time she "turned herself around" she had her elbow in the air and a huge grin on her face. I love 'em when they are this age. So wide eyed and innocent. Not quite at the defiant stage...but getting closer every day.
I should really get to work instead of dinking around on the journal. I have so much to get done today. It helps me to make a list of what needs to be done. For some reason, seeing it on paper makes me feel committed, maybe even bound to it. It's a binding housework contract made between me and the Dust Buster. So, today I need to:
clean the kitchen
mop the floors
vacuum
clean the bathroom
get the laundry done
give all 3 kids a bath
pack bags for tomorrow (2 diaper bags and napping stuff)
figure out my hair (it's a true mess, don't ask!)
cook dinner
I think that's enough for my Sunday, don't you?! Oh, and if at all possible, walk a couple of miles on the treadmill. Maybe I can squeeze that in between loads of laundry.
