On Wednesday night I was feeling kind of crappy.  I had a monster headache, my feet and hands were swelling and I felt dizzy.  Since my MIL (sort of) brought dinner over for us, I took the time to just sit on the sofa and relax.  The longer I sat there, the worst I felt.  My MIL (sort of) leaned over, touched my arm, and said, 'You don't feel very well, do you?"  I guess it was obvious I was out of it.  She and Ron both asked when the last time was that I checked my blood pressure.  I actually have not checked it in over a year.  I had problems with it when I was pregnant and I had to monitor it.  After I had Mason, it was back to normal.  I thought that I should check it, just in case.  It was 148/108. Yikes!  I laid down for a while and it came down to 140/88.

Just to be on the safe side, I made an appointment to see a doctor today.  When I got there my blood pressure was 150/100.  After I sat and rest for a little while, it went down - to 148/98.  So, I'm officially on BP meds now and have to have  blood work done to check my cholesterol, blood sugar and all the other fun stuff.  He is also concerned that I may have a thyroid issue.  So, lots of tests and dr. appointments over the next 2-3 weeks. Yay for me
