Around Christmas time I was at The Children's Place returning some items that I bought for MyKayla on-line that were the wrong size. While I was looking around, I noticed a women in the store who just seemed "out of place". I don't say that to be rude, but she just drew attention to herself by the way she was dressed and the way she looked - wide eyed - at some of the price tags. You could tell that she was really trying to find a few pieces in the store to buy, I'm guessing for her kids, as gifts. The women who worked in the store were really watching her. Like a hawk. I think they felt as if she may try to steal something. She had a Children's Place bag in her hands already, so I'm guessing she had a return. Eventually, she picked out 4 items. She brought them up to the counter and said that she wanted to exchange the one item in the bag for the 4 that she'd picked out. The sales lady gave her a hard look (bitch) and rung up her transaction. When she was done, she said that the woman owed her $13 (something like that). She had a strange look on her face. I don't think she had enough money on her. At that moment, I remembered I had a coupon to share with a friend for 15% off their next purchase. I reached in my bag and asked her if she would like to have my coupon. The sales associate said, "I can't take that, I've already rung her up". The associate who was waiting on me said, "No. Actually, you can because you haven't closed out the transaction. She hasn't paid yet. Right?" I handed her the coupon, she rung it up and they owed HER money! She smiled a really big smile at me and said thank you so much!! I told her not to worry about and to have a Merry Christmas. I hope her kids enjoyed The Children's Place clothes as much as my kids did.
